Not getting an education or going to the
"best schools" can never again be used as an excuse as long as www.youtube.com and www.google.com or www.bing.com
is available to you … and it's free! Also read Q-Stories! (Coming soon)
Other than the bible (for those of you who are of the faithful and especially for those
of you who are not), there are a few books books that I feel you simply must read and study if you are the kind of person
who can read something and believe what you read without having what you read reinforced over and over by other books and
authors. Those that I feel are must read are as follows I have listed a large number of really great books at this site
for your reading and study pleasures. I recommend that you try and study each and as many of the quotes by each of these
authors; however, if you find that the list is two long … I strongly encourage you to read and study each of the following
(all are easy read books and are worth their weight in Gold a Million Times Over):
0.
The Bible
Some say it is hard to read but if you study
it … You may never
need to read any other books!
1. The Magic of Believing - Claude M. Bristol
2.

3. The Power of Your Subconscious Mind - Dr.

4. Think and Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill

Conscious vs Subconscious
The Greatest Secret!
The
greatest ability in life is the ability to get your
Conscious and Subconscious
to
always move in the same direction.
Ralph Waldo Emerson declared that “The
ancestor of every action is thought.” Napoleon Hill of the famous book, Think and Grow Rich said that “You
have absolute control over but one thing—your thoughts. This divine prerogative is the sole means by which you
may control your destiny. If you fail to control your mind, you will control nothing else. Your mind is your spiritual
estate. What you hold in your mind today will shape your experiences of tomorrow.”
This is the most significant and inspiring of all facts known to man! It reflects man’s divine nature. This
divine prerogative is the sole means by which you may control your own destiny. If you fail to control your own mind, you
may be sure you will control nothing else. If you must be careless with your possessions, let it be in connection with
material things. Your mind is your spiritual estate! Protect and use it with the care to which divine royalty is entitled.
You were given a will-power for this purpose.
"Take a look at your mind
of five years ago and you will see your body today, take a look at your mind today and you will see your body of five years
from now." - Deepak Chopra
There were a scattered few times during the
course of my life when I got a quick glimpse of the possibilities of the mind but it was not until late in 1997 when I became
a learning fanatic., reading everything I cloud find on philosophy, psychology and human nature and self-help. I studied
visualization, medication and telepathy. I also attended numerous seminars on self improvement. I estimate my
overall cost to be more than $50,000 … I have no regrets … in fact the knowledge I gained from all those self-help
books, tapes and seminars have repaid me numerous times over.
My purpose
for telling you this not to impress you or anyone. My sole purpose here is to impress upon you the need for you to began
to learn what has taken me more than 60 years to learn and in the fastest time possible … and for you it's FREE!
Make no mistake about it … www.youtube.con, wwwgoogle.com and www.bing.com provide
the fastest and least expensive ways of vastly increasing your knowledge than any college or university in the FREE World,
bar none!
Before I go any further want I to tell you that anything you say about
why you are sad, broke or sickly is because, for the most part, of your how you were thinking prior to these feelings.
And so it is also true that how you are thinking now will also materialize as to how you will b e feeling tomorrow.
One more thing … Any excuse, and all excuses have one thing in common … it
is just that … an excuse and if that is your excuse for not doing what you should be doing … It will be excepted!
There are only three ways anyone has in order to learn anything.
They
are as follows:
1. What you learn from others, (Books or Personal).
2. Through
your own personal experiences.
3. Through a search of your inner self …. (your subconscious).
My intention here is but for one purpose and one purpose only, to help you reduce the normal
learning curve if you were to set out on your to learn what you must learn if you wish to obtain your life's desires.
Over my life time I have read over 300 books, attended numerous seminars. And with one exception they were all part
of my effort at providing me with improved skills in a specific area. Rarely did I ever read anything just for fun.
I cannot recall reading but one fictional book in my life. This is because my greatest interest has always been and
remains the understanding of my mind and how it works and how I can improve on what it provides me.
There are a few people who I believe have provided the world with some of the most valuable information that the
world has ever known. Wanting something and doing nothing to get what you want is like fishing in your back yard pool
for a shark … you will never catch one!
Following are a few of the
men and women who have in my opinion done the best job of translating to the world what God wanted us to understand and do
with our lives …. I have tried to organize each in the followings areas:
Psychology
& The Mind <> Money And Financial Management
Love & Relationships <> Health &
Wellness <> Business & Sales
Leadership <> General Knowledge
INSTRUCTIONS
Go to www.youtube.com and enter the name of he author you wish to study. You
should watch everything that each of these men and women say about anything that they talk about. It is also a good
idea to watch a few of the things that others say about those authors.
You
should then go to go to www.google.com or www.bing.com and search for as many quotes as you can find by each of these authors
… read them carefully.
As you read through each of the quotes you should stop
after you read each one and write down in your own words what you think the author is trying to say with in the quote.
As you can see I place a lot on quotes. What I have found it that quotes have a tenancy
to give you a quick and easy snapshot of the mind of its author.
Once you
have done the above for at least one hour for twenty-one straight days, you will have developed one of the most important
habits that you can possible developed and you will have become one on the smartest people that you know in the subjects that
you selected and studied.
READ: Our Story before you get started, it will help
you understand why I think doing this is so very important. In the future you are going to find just how important doing
this was for you --- Five years from now you will greatly appreciate what this website and the things I am asking you to do
here … YOU have my PERSONAL GUARANTEE.
One More Thing: I recommend that
you study my A list of authors and some of their works and then you can skip around as you desire. BEGIN NOW!

This is
one of the most informative books I have ever read. I believe that anyone who has any interest in human nature must
read it. I purchased that book ($75.00), as part of a MS Degree class I was taking and within a couple of days I purchased
a second copy for Randy. He says take it was one of the most informative book that he has seen during his BS & MS
studies. Great Book!

John Locke, Thomas Payne, Benjamin Franklin, Rene Descartes, Janes Addams , Frederik Douglass , James

So … You are to busy, …
"Any
excuse is worse and more trouble than a lie; for an excuse is a lie guarded". - Alexander Pope
Following is a good example of deciding on what you
want and on how bad you want it … What you are willing to give up to get it … (An Old African Story).
Here!
Now that you have done
the necessary research to understand all of this I am now going to teach you how to get anything in life that you want, that
is … anything that you want that is within reason …
"If
you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to
this mountain,
'Move from here to there,' and it would move.
Nothing would be impossible."
- Luke & Matthew
"If you have faith the size of a mustard seed
… " - Luke 17: 6
I cannot teach you how to acquire such faith but I know
that if you can believe in yourself and have faith … even the size of a mustard seed, you will accomplish more than
you ever dreamed possible and this is my hope for you. I am not here to feed your ego, I am here to help you understand
that you can obtain all the things that God has place before you as yours.
DETERMINING
YOUR GOALS
Goal Setting
www.youtube.com
“Anything will
reveal it’s secrets to you if you love it enough.” - George Washington carver
Steps To Obtaining
Exactly What You Want
There are certain steps that you must go through to obtain the things that you
want in life and there are no short cut. You should write down your …
Short Term Goals,
Next 1-5 Years
Medium Term Goals, From 5-10 Years
Long Term Goals 10-15 years
You should continue to review and update your goals.
Step
#1: Decide on exactly what it is that you want. Be very specific. Being unclear could bring you something
that you really did not want or have in mind …
Example: When I decided on the type of
woman I wanted I did a good job on that part of the process but what I was not clear on was the … Type of Mother-In-Law
or the Type of Sister-In-Law I wanted and well … you get the idea!
During this process you should
identify at least five things you want in life, write them down in the priority that you want to obtain them in. I do
not recommend that you take on more than one or two at any given time (But writing them down provides them with a place in
your Conscious and Sub-conscious mind, this will allow them to be work on without your special attention). This also
means that you will always be alert to those thing that come along that will help support the accomplishment of those goals
and because you will have already started a file for them your mind will recognize them quickly and when you turn your direct
attention toward them you will already have collected some information to help support a more rapid accomplishment of those
goals.
Step # 2. Select the one goal that is most important to you and
began taking action immediately by doing the things that you will need to do in order to accomplish that goal.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door
will
be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds;
and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." - Matthew 7:7-8
The most important step identified here is to decide on what you want … make a decision,
the stronger your desires are for a thing the faster it will become yours. (Read Q-Stories Here!)
Step #3. Write down at least four or five things that you need to do in
order to obtain the things that you want accomplish, (your goals).
Example:
If your first goal was to get a higher paying job. one of the first things you would need to do was to what additional
qualifications you will need in order to get hired by someone for that job. It is especially important that you look
for the kind of job that you really want to do … this assures that you will be more willing to do what it takes to
get that job.
I could site numerous real cases of people who have used this approach,
people whom you will immediately recognize, too many to try and put here but what I will do is cite one case that I have first
hand knowledge of, (Read Our Story).
Step # 4. Take Action. Began NOW. Do
something immediately that will move you just one step closed toward your goal. And continue to do at least one thing
everyday that will put you at least one step closer to the accomplishment of your goal.
Example: If
you decided that you wanted to get a better paying job in a completely new field wouldn't you think that it was a good idea
to learn as much as you could about that field and the company and person who could help you get that job. Go to youtube.com
and began studying and reading everything that you can about your desired job.
You may be thinking that this
sounds much to easy to be true … at least that what's what most people will and do thing … But I will also tell
you that … Most people … around 87 - 97% (after 40 years of working), broke and in need of support from family,
friends and the government in order to survive. If that's what you want out of life … Read no Further!
Still With Me! There is one more thing that I should mention here. Because
I am not trying to sell you anything, it is not especially important to me, (Except to those of my family members who are
willing to read, study and apply what I and saying here), but if you believe that what I am telling you here you should act
on it … Began NOW! It is my hope that for your own personal sake, you act as if what I am telling you is that
this is the most importation information about your future Health & Wellness, Money & Financial Situation and your
Happiness that you have ever received and very likely will ever receive!
Something I learned a long
time ago: People rarely know what they want and therefore rarely gets it. Most people, I have found will walk
over a gold mind that could give them every financial thing in life that they could ever want if someone, (even a stranger),
came along and told them that just over the hill is a far bigger gold mind just waiting for them to come and dig up the gold.
Make no Mistake about it … Your gold mind is available within you … all you have to
do is … search it out! I am teaching you how to do that here.
What
I am presenting to you here is far greater that gold … what I am presenting to you here is the ability to tap into
your mind, your subconscious, your store house of knowledge, your store house of the very gifts that was place in Your Care
by the Creator. It's up to you weather you choose to dig it out or let it sit dormant … as most people do.
Leave this web-site and your choice will have been made. Study it's contents and the wisdom of the ages will be yours
… to use and even more important … to pass on to those that you love, just as I am passing it on to you.
Carlton L. Dowdy
God Bless!
PS:
You should return to this site often as I will continue to add valuable information to this site.
PPS: Remember: Gaining Knowledge is a process that never ends … And that is what makes searching
for knowledge so interesting …
A few more notes on
…
Setting Goals
Following is a12 Step Goal-Setting Process that I borrowed from somewhere
… it is far better than anything that I could come up with, I hope the author will not be unhappy about my using it
here!
1. Decide exactly what you want in every key area of your life.
Start off by Idealizing. Imagine that there are no limitations on what you can be, have or do. Imagine that you have all the
time and money, all the friends and contacts, all the education and experience that you need to accomplish any goal you can
set for yourself. Imagine that you could wave a magic wand and make your life perfect in each of the four key areas of life.
If your life was perfect in each area, what would it look like?
> 1. Income – how much do
you want to earn this year, next year and five years from today?
> 2. Family – what kind
of a lifestyle do you want to create for yourself and your family?
> 3. Health – how would
your health be different if it was perfect in every way?
> 4. Net Worth – how much do you want
to save and accumulate in the course of your working lifetime?
> 5. Three Goal Method – in less
than 30 - 40 seconds, write down your three most important goals in life, right now. Write quickly. Whatever your answer
to this “Quick List Method” way of writing three goals it is probably an accurate picture of what you really want
in life.
2. Write it down.
Your goals must be in writing.
They must be clear, specific, detailed and measurable. You must write out your goals as if you were placing an order for your
goal to be manufactured in a factory at a great distance. Make your description clear and detailed in every sense. Only 3%
of adults have written goals, and everyone else works for them.
3. Set a
deadline.
Your subconscious mind uses deadlines as “forcing systems” to drive you, consciously
and
unconsciously toward achieving your goal on schedule. If your goal is big enough, set sub-deadlines.
If you want to achieve financial independence, you may set a 10 or 20-year goal, and then break it down, year by year, so
that you know how much you have to save and invest each year. If for some reason you don’t achieve your goal by the
deadline, simply set a new deadline. There are no unreasonable goals, only unreasonable deadlines.
4. Identify the things that are standing in the way of you your achieving your goals.
Why
haven't you already at your goal?
The Theory of Constraints – there
is always at least one major limiting factor or constraint that controls the speed at which you achieve your goal. You should
identity what yours are.
Once I read the following:
The
80/20 Rule applies to constraints. Fully 80% of the reasons that are holding you back from achieving your goals are inside
yourself. They are the lack of a skill, a quality or a body of knowledge. Only 20% of the reasons you are not achieving your
goal are on the outside … But the outside is what people think they have some knowledge about … Great …
But it is only the head and without the body … there is little power. Always start from with-in.
5. Identify the knowledge, information and skills you will need to achieve your goal. Especially, identify the
skills that you will have to develop to be in the top 10% of your field.
Greatest Discovery:
Your
weakest key skill sets the height of your income and your success. You can make
more progress by going to
work on the one skill that is holding you back more than any other.
Ask yourself
this very important question:
“What one skill, if you developed and did it in an excellent
manner, would provide the greatest positive impact on your life?” What one skill, if you developed and performed
it consistently, in an outstanding manner, would help you the most in achieving your most important goal? Whatever that skill
is, write it down, make a plan and work on it every single day.
6. Identify the people whose help and cooperation
you will require to achieve your goal.
Make a list of every person in your life that you will have to work
with or work around to achieve your goal. Start with the members of your family, whose cooperation and support you will require.
List your boss, coworkers and subordinates. Especially, identify the customers whose support you will need to sell enough
of your product or service to make the kind of money that you want. Once you have identified the key people whose help you
will require, ask yourself this question, “What’s in it for them?” Be a “go-giver” rather than
a “go-getter.”
To achieve big goals you will have to have the help
and support of lots of people. One key person at a certain time and place in your life will make all the difference.
The most successful people are those who build and maintain the largest networks of other people whom they can help and who
can help them in return.
7. Make a list of everything you will have to do to achieve
your goal.
Combine the obstacles that you will have to overcome, the knowledge and skills you will have
to develop, and the people whose cooperation you will require. List every single step that you can think of that you will
have to follow to ultimately achieve your goal. As you think of new items, add them to your list until your list is complete.
When you make out a list of all the things you will need to do to achieve your goal, you begin to see that this
goal
is far more attainable than you thought. “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” You can build
the biggest wall in the world one brick at a time.
8. Organize your list
into a plan.
You organize this list by arranging the steps that you have identified by sequence and priority.
Sequence – what do you have to do before you do something else, and in what order?
Priority
– what is more important and what is less important?
The 80/20 Rule says that 80% of your results
will come from 20% of your activities.
The 20/80 Rule says that the first 20% of time that you spend planning
your goal and organizing your plan will be worth 80% of the time and effort required to achieve the goal. Planning is very
important.
9. Make a plan. Organize your list into a series of steps
from the beginning all the way through to the completion of your goal. When you have a Goal and a Plan, you increase
the likelihood of achieving your goals by 10 times, by 1000%!
a. Plan each
day, week and month in advance.
b. Plan each month at the beginning of the
month.
c. Plan each week the weekend before.
d.
Plan each day the evening before.
The more careful and detailed you are when you
plan your activities, the more you will accomplish in less time. The rule is that each minute spent in planning saves 10 minutes
in execution. This means that you get a 1000% return on your investment of time in planning your days, weeks and months in
advance.
10. Select your number one, most important task for each day. Set
priorities on your list
using the 80/20 Rule. Ask yourself this question: “If I could only do one
thing on this list, which one activity is most important?” Whatever you answer to that question, put a number “1”
next to that activity.
Then, ask yourself, “If I could only do one other
task on this list, which one task would be the most valuable use of my time?” Then write a number “2” next
to that task.
Keep asking this question, “What is the most valuable use of my time on this list?”
until you have your seven top tasks, organized by sequence and priority.
Here is
another question you can ask, “If I could only do one thing all
day long, which one activity would
contribute the most value to my
work and to my goals?
Focus and
Concentration
are the keys to success. Focus means that you know exactly what it is that you want to accomplish
and concentration requires that you dedicate yourself to doing only those things
that move you toward your
goal.”
11. Develop the habit of self-discipline. Once you have
decided
on your most important task, resolve to concentrate single-mindedly on that one task until it is
100% complete. Your ability to select your most important task and then to work on it single mindedly, without diversion or
distraction, will double and triple the quality and quantity of your output and your productivity.
Single Handling
is one of the most powerful of all time management techniques. This means that
when you start with the task, you avoid all distractions and stay with that task until it is done.
Once
you have developed the habit of completing your tasks, you will earn two and three and even five times as much as other
people.
12. Practice visualization on your goals.
Create
clear, vivid, exciting, emotional pictures of your goals as if they were already a reality. See your goal as though it were
already achieved. Imagine yourself enjoying the accomplishment of this goal. If it is a car, imagine yourself driving this
car. If it is a vacation, see yourself on the vacation already. If it is a beautiful home that you want, see yourself living
in a beautiful home. In visualizing, take a few moments to create the emotions that would accompany the successful achievement
of your goal. A mental picture combined with an emotion has an enormous impact on your subconscious and your superconscious
mind.
Visualization is perhaps the most powerful faculty available to you to help
you achieve your goals faster than you ever thought possible. When you use a combination of clear goals, combined with
visualization and emotionalization, you activate your superconscious mind. Your superconscious mind then solves every problem
on the way to your goal. Your superconscious mind activates the Law of Attraction and begins attracting into your life people,
circumstances, ideas and resources that will help you to achieve your goals even faster.
Goal-Setting
Exercise
Step 1. Take a clean sheet of paper and write the
word “Goals” at the top of the page along with today’s date. Discipline yourself to write out at least 10
goals that you would like to accomplish in the next year, or in the foreseeable future. Begin each goal with the word
“I.” Only you can use the word “I.” Follow the word “I” with an action verb that acts
as a command from your conscious mind to your subconscious mind.
Describe
your goals in the present tense, as though they had already been achieved. If your goal is to earn a certain amount of money
in a certain year, you would say, “I earn this number of dollars by the end of this year.” If your goal
is to get a new car, you would say, “I drive such and such a new car by such and such a date.” Finally,
when you write down your goals, always write them in the positive tense. Instead of saying, “I will quit smoking,”
you would say, “I am a non-smoker.”
Always state your goals as though
they were already a reality, as though you had already accomplished them. This activates your subconscious and superconscious
minds to change your external reality so it is consistent with your inner commands.
Step 2: Decide upon your major definite purpose.
Once you have written out a list
of 10 goals, ask yourself this question, “If I could wave a magic wand and achieve any goal on this list within 24 hours,
which one goal would have the greatest positive impact on my life?”. Whatever your answer to that question, put
a circle around that goal. Then, transfer the goal to the top of a clean sheet of paper.
1.
Write it down clearly and in detail.
2. Set a deadline on your goal and set sub
deadlines if necessary.
3. Identify the obstacles that you will have to overcome
to achieve your goal, and identify the most important one, internal or external.
4.
Identify the knowledge and skills you will need to achieve your goal, and the most important skill that you will have to become
excellent in.
5. Identify the people whose help and cooperation you will
require, and think about what you can do to deserve their help.
6. Make a
list of everything you will have to do to achieve your goal. Add to the list as you think of new things to do.
7.Organize your list by sequence and priority, by what you have to do first, and by what is most important.
8.Make a plan by organizing your list into steps from the first to the last, and then
resolve to take action on your plan, every single day.
9.Plan your goal in terms
of the activities that you will have to engage in to achieve it, daily, weekly and monthly, in advance.
10.
Set priorities on your list and identify the most important thing that you can do every single day to move most rapidly toward
your goal.
11. Discipline yourself to concentrate single-mindedly on the most important thing that
you can do today until it is 100% complete. Practice single-handling with every major task.
